In December 1943, 17 year old Adam was arrested and sent to Auschwitz. After experiencing 8 months of hell, he was transferred to Buchenwald. Almost immediately he was sent to Dora, a newly established camp designed to house the building of Hitler's new weapon - the V2 Rocket.
Having already participated in resistance fighting outside the camp, Adam joined the sabotage efforts of the rocket assembly. It was during the last month of operation that Adam escaped execution twice - Once because of a specialist trade he was taught in the camp, and the other because of a lucky bomb.
